Getting started

Add local files or connect a media source you can access. Choose a film, check its display mode, audio and subtitles, then enter your personal cinema. Exact controls will follow the released version.

Connecting a media source

SMB and WebDAV need a reachable server address and appropriate account permissions. Check network connectivity and access to the shared folder. FolioSpace Library is optional; deploying it is not a prerequisite for FolioLume.

Playback or disc-menu issues

Check the compatibility page first. Useful support details include app and system versions, container and codec, reproduction steps and the error message. Remove private addresses, paths and account details from screenshots.

AI subtitles and movie conversations

AI may mistranslate or produce incorrect facts. External APIs may charge your selected account for usage; a subscription to ChatGPT or another chat product should not be assumed to include API usage. Review what will be transmitted before enabling a feature.

Purchases and refunds

Official purchasable products and purchase links have not been announced. Restore and subscription instructions will be added at release. App Store refund requests go through Apple, which determines the outcome.

Contact FolioLume

Funland provides support for FolioLume. Include FolioLume in the subject. Do not send full films, NAS passwords or API keys.

A few things you might want to know

Which devices is it for?

FolioLume is being developed for Apple Vision Pro. System requirements will be published at release. This website does not promise versions for other devices.

How is a giant screen different from immersive video?

A giant screen is a large, bounded display in your space. Immersive video extends imagery around your field of view according to its projection. Available modes depend on the media format.

Do Blu-ray menus work with every disc?

No universal disc compatibility is claimed. Menu type, title, encoding and app version can affect playback. Consult the released version’s compatibility information.

Are films or videos included?

No. FolioLume is a player. You provide media you have the legal right to access and use.

What data do AI subtitles and conversations send?

When the corresponding third-party AI feature is enabled, conversations may send film information and dialogue, while transcription or subtitle generation may send film audio and text. Review providers, data and costs before enabling it.

Can I connect a NAS?

The media-source design includes local files, SMB, WebDAV and FolioSpace Library. Released source support and setup instructions will be specified with the app.
