Privacy
How FolioLume Player handles data and how you can manage your privacy.
Content reviewed ·Scope and operator
This policy covers FolioLume Player 0.50, foliolume.app and support. The operator is FU XIAODONG (Funland), reachable at support@foliolume.app. Effective date: September 15, 2026.
Local media and credentials
Local playback needs no FolioLume account. Selected media, library records, favorites, playback positions, settings and generated subtitle caches are processed or stored on your device. Ordinary local playback does not upload your movie to the developer. Passwords and API keys are stored in the system Keychain to authenticate the connections you choose.
Servers you choose
Connections such as SMB, WebDAV, FolioSpace, Emby and Plex send authentication, directory, search and media requests to the addresses you configure. Those servers and their image hosts receive the relevant requests, account information and network address, and retain logs under their own policies. If you enable film conversations, selected film information may also be sent with your questions to an AI service.
Optional AI processing
External AI requires your own provider credentials and an action to enable it. OpenAI may receive movie audio, subtitle text, film titles and descriptions, questions and recent conversation context; enabled web search also processes relevant queries. Anthropic receives the questions and attached material you confirm in the sending preview. Requests support transcription, translation, search and answers. Providers can associate requests with your service account and retain requests or security logs under their policies. Disabling client storage does not guarantee zero provider retention. We do not use this data for advertising tracking or sell it to data brokers. External API fees may apply.
Controls, retention and deletion
You can stop AI translation or subtitle generation, remove your OpenAI key and generated subtitle cache in AI settings, and remove other provider credentials in the relevant conversation settings. Local deletion cannot undo completed server processing. Removing a source stops future access. Local library data and settings generally remain until you delete the data or uninstall the app; Keychain items can remain separately, so remove credentials in the app first. Contact the relevant provider for its account, server records and deletion requests.
Website and support email
Cloudflare Workers serves this website. Cloudflare handles network requests, security information and website performance/visit statistics, separately from media playback in the app. Support email passes through Cloudflare Email Routing to our email provider; support receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send. We retain support information while handling your request and necessary follow-up, or as applicable law requires. Do not send passwords, API keys or private movies.
Privacy requests and updates
Contact support@foliolume.app to request access, correction or deletion of support information we hold, or to ask a privacy question. Providers may process requests outside your country; review their policies before enabling a service. The app is not specifically directed at children and does not provide advertising tracking. We update this page and effective date when processing changes, and provide renewed notice and consent in the app when needed.
